Private Beginner Yoga

Grounding River provides private beginner Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga sessions at your home. Private classes offer an individualized approach where you receive more attention than in a regular studio. Each session is optimized to your level to target specific muscle groups and improve your practice. It can also be a fun, relaxing way to spend an hour with a partner or friend.

Styles of Yoga offered:

  • Hatha is a form of yoga where you move from pose to pose in a slow deliberate manner while focusing on your breath. Holding each pose for a few seconds allows you to gain flexibility, balance and strength. 

  • Vinyasa is a type of yoga that seamlessly flows from one pose to another using one breath per movement. You inhale when opening up the body and exhale when closing the body. It is a little faster-paced than Hatha. You can also gain flexibility, balance and strength with this practice. 

  • Yin is designed to help you be mindful and sit in stillness. A class can consist of only a few poses where each pose is held for up to 5 mins. Stillness in each pose brings focus to your deep interconnective tissues. Yin also teaches you to still your mind and become more limber.

  • $120 for beginner private in-home 60-minute class for 1-2 people

  • In-home yoga is provided in these areas only: Spring Branch, Memorial, Heights, Galleria and Rice University in Houston, Texas


Corporate Yoga

Grounding River provides corporate yoga classes to companies that want to give their employees an extra perk.

We will travel to your facility and provide a chair yoga class where we teach your employees simple stretches they can do while sitting at their desks.

Learning simple stretches can help relieve aches and pains like back, shoulder, neck and wrist pain. Your employees will then be prepared with simple stretches they can do throughout the day to help them stay healthy and productive.

The class is an hour and we’d need a quiet space to teach the class as a group. It is good as a one-time event or a monthly event.
