About

Self-care is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation."

—AUDRE LORDE, feminist and civil rights leader

I’ve been writing for the better part of my life, so much so, I made it my career for 15 years. The dream was to write a book, but instead, I got enamored with the marketing world.

Then, I decided to leave the fast-paced corporate world to become a licensed massage therapist, yoga instructor and meditation teacher.

My passion is to help people learn the importance of self-care by living a more mindful life.

In rivers, the water that you touch is the last of what has passed and the first of that which comes; so with present time.”― Leonardo Da Vinci

The name, Grounding River, came from my own experience. Whenever I feel depleted, stressed and anxious, I put my feet in a river and sit in silence. I drink in all that Mother Nature has to offer and ask her to recharge my soul. It is where I retreat to get centered and grounded.
